Africa is full of wonderful wildlife to see and experience. From amazing creatures such as buck to vicious meat eating cats. Such as the fantastic spotted leopard, as seen in this picture. Wait, don’t you see it? Their spots help them blend into their environment a little too well, making them a little scary.
On the top side, you can kind of make out a creature, but if you look closely you can see it is a dead carcass of an Impala. But if you look closer, can you spot the leopard?
If you focus really carefully on the trunk of the tree, you should be able to sort of see something, and it will suddenly be really clear to you. There is the leopard! This is an amazing image, isn’t it? A German wildlife photographer, Ingo Gerlach took this photograph in Masai Mara in Kenya. According to this modest artist, luck was a huge part in capturing this picture. He has also managed to post other “spot the animals in the picture” posts before.
“The leopard was jumping up the tree to go and eat its meal,” Gerlach said. “It’s a carcass of an impala that’s hanging from the tree. The leopard was incredibly shy and I had to wait over five hours to take the picture. I was lucky to spot the leopard in the first place, and then even more so to catch it going up the tree.”
If you also didn’t know anything about leopards, they drag their kills up into a tree to keep any other predators from stealing their food. Especially other cats, and of course – Hyenas! There is a lot more to learn about these kitties, but if you haven’t spotted the kitty yet then just look here:
